Failure by the Sponsor to pay fees by 31st May 2024 (or another date as agreed in writing between the Host and the Sponsor) may result in termination of this agreement and withdrawal of sponsorship rights. Representatives of the Host and the Sponsor shall schedule in-kind services in writing.
Support of Equal Rights by The Sponsor
The Sponsor agrees to support the equal rights and core values of the LGBTQ+ community.
For the avoidance of doubt LGBTQ+ stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (or questioning) + others.
The word ‘pride’ is an integral cultural concept within the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex (LGBTQI) community, representing solidarity, collectivity, and identity as well as resistance to discrimination and violence. Its associated symbolism (e.g., rainbow colours) communicates to individuals that LGBTQ+ members are welcome as valuable members of the community.
The Core Values
- Recognise and promote awareness of LGBTQ+ history
- Celebrate the contributions made by LGBTQ+ people to society
- Reflect on the history of discrimination of LGBTQ+ people
- Educate and inform subsequent generations of LGBTQ+ history, highlighting discrimination and celebrating diversity
- Focus national attention on the LGBTQ+ community, and enhance LGBTQ+ equality at a local and national level
- Champion LGBTQ+ rights internationally
- Challenge and eradicate homophobia, biphobia and transphobia
- Promote an inclusive and equal society, free from homophobia, biphobia and transphobia
