Pride means to me a way of letting people know how society still sees our community.

I am Anglo-Catholic, I have a husband and a son and I cannot walk down the street holding my husband’s hand without a feel of dread. This is not how “straight normal” families feel and that is why pride is important, as no one should be made to feel that way.

People often say, where is the straight pride? But that is not needed as they are socially accepted by families and individuals yet the LGBT+ community is not.

It is better now but we still have a long way to go.
