I can’t believe it’s been nearly a whole year since Deals first ever Pride. And we’re doing it all over again.

There really aren’t words to express the love and joy it gave me to be the host of the towns Pride. It’s no secret that I grew up in Deal during a time when being LGBTQ+ was still difficult so to host an event when Queer people are celebrated truly makes my heart sing.

Last year I was had the opportunity to meet up with people who I have not seen since in many years, some since my school days. Friends, parents of friends and in some cases, the children of old friends. For the first time Deal felt fabulously and beautifully queer and it brought me to tears. That’s the power of Pride.

In my decade of being a performer no event has ever meant so much to me and I cannot wait to be back to go it all over again this year. Make sure you get yourselves down, bring your family, bring your friends, bring everyone you can think of …. Let’s make sure Deal Pride is even bigger, better and bolder than last year.
